‘Belligerent, combative – but no threat’ 6

Nidal Malik Hasan, the Muslim terrorist of Fort Hood, had openly advocated the decapitation of non-Muslims, the pouring of boiling oil down their throats.

Not nice, some of his superiors thought. But it was only because of his religion, they deemed, and his religious zeal must not, in the name of diversity and political correctness, be regarded as any worse or more threatening than anyone else’s – a Christian’s, say, or a Buddhist’s, or a Hindu’s. Let it pass, they decided. Do nothing about it.

They were more ‘concerned’ that he was a ‘mediocre student  and lazy worker’. Yet he got his qualification. No doubt affirmative action saw to that, the policy that chooses the ineligible and promotes the worst above the best; the mindset that has saddled America with an ignorant and incompetent president.

From Yahoo! news:

A group of doctors [at least some of them psychiatrists, presumably – JB] overseeing Nidal Malik Hasan’s medical training discussed concerns about his overly zealous religious views and strange behavior months before the Army major was accused of opening fire on soldiers and civilians at Fort Hood, Texas.

Doctors and staff overseeing Hasan’s training viewed him at times as belligerent, defensive and argumentative in his frequent discussions of his Muslim faith

As a psychiatrist in training, Hasan was characterized in meetings as a mediocre student and lazy worker, a matter of concern among the doctors and staff at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences military medical school, the official said. …

The group saw no evidence that Hasan, 39, was violent or a threat. It was more that he repeatedly referred to his strong religious views in discussions with classmates, his superiors and even in his research work, the official said. His behavior, while at times perceived as intense and combative, was not unlike the zeal of others with strong religious views, and some doctors and staff were concerned that their unfamiliarity with the Muslim faith would lead them to unfairly single out Hasan’s behavior, the official said.

Then why, dammit, did they not make themselves familiar with the Muslim faith?

Why don’t those who repeatedly intone that Islam is ‘a religion of peace’ go and read the Koran and the hadith? No one who’s read them can seriously hold that opinion.

Why don’t those who think Islam is just another religion, and that having Muslims in the armed forces is necessary for ‘diversity’, inform themselves as to what exactly Muhammad taught his followers?

They would quickly discover that Islam is an atrocious, destructive, cruel, murderous ideology. It is past time that the military authorities, teachers, journalists, media pundits, Christian and other religious leaders, law-makers, and indeed all who can read take the trouble to find out what this barbaric enemy coming at us out of the far past believes, plans, and intends.

I am dubious that Barack Obama has any true loyalty to anyone but himself. I think this man is about power, and while it's obvious that he's siding with terrorists everywhere he can, it may well not be out of any real allegience to Islam per se, but rather he sees it as the best way to destroy America so that he can rebuild it in his own image. Simply put, he's using them for his own, separate, ends.

He's playing with fire, to be sure. I'm fairly certain that the powers that be in Al Qaeda aren't as stupid as King Barak think they are and they clearly see him for the power mad snake he is and are perfectly willing to let him lead the symphony of destruction. He's making their job easier, too. Obama, and most liberals, in fact, are too stupid and arrogant to see that even an ass kissing, America hating, non Muslim is just another infidel that needs to die.

I think we're walking a very fine line between doing everything necessary to kill dangerous Islam, and protecting our freedoms. In the middle east, they hide behind babies to make Israel the bad guy for shooting. Here, they hide behind our civil liberties for the same effect.

I am in NO WAY saying I think Islam is anything other than dangerous barbarism. However, watching this whole thing unfold has left me with an unsettling thought. What if this wasn't simple PC baffoonery? What if Hassan ( and others) have been allowed to run free simply to justify a severe crackdown on Muslims in this country? While non Muslims cheer as they ' finally do something', the government would start imprisoning the law abiding Muslims and violating civil rights setting a precendent ( and possibly writting laws) to make it a cake walk to do the same to the rest of us. Jews were the excuse that Hitler used while average Germans cheered.

To be clear, I am in no way equating the Jewish faith with Islam. I am not saying that Islam isn't a hateful, dangerous philosophy or that I believe any of the PC nonsense that has left us vulnerable to a terrifying threat. I don't allow this administration any benefit of the doubt, however, and history has shown the best way to herd people into tyranny is to whip them into a frenzy at the “other”. Obama has thus far been scarily similar to Hitler in too many ways for me to let ANYTHING pass unexamined.

    • Nietrick – Thank you for your comment. I don't think Obama would ever 'crack down' on Muslims. He is intensely sympathetic to Islam.

I would like to see terrorists being cracked down on hard. But I consistently plead for the ideology of Islam to be attacked and not harmless people who believe in it simply because they were born Muslims.

Islam is a terroristic creed, just as Communism is.

I think the militant Muslims themselves are 'whipping people into a frenzy'.

But yes, Obama is a very dangerous man.

How about beheading Hasan when he is found guilty of murder? As an accommodation to his faith?

    • C. Gee – did you see the video interview with a sharia executioner, who said that when his executioner's sword fell apart 'it was the handle that broke off, not the blade' !?
