Poison 4

President Obama’s father was a communist. His mother was involved with the New Left. The chief mentor of his youth was the communist writer Frank Marshall Davis. At the University of Columbia he sought out Marxist professors. He trained to be a “community organizer” according to the precepts of the communist revolutionary Saul Alinsky. He brought Maoists into the White House to advise and assist him. He advocates communist egalitarianism (“spread the wealth around”). He is not only the first black president of the United States, he is also its first communist president. (However, like any idea that enters his head between parties and games and hangs about there, his communism is a mere miasma; and as he has no leadership ability it will not have much effect, beyond such expensive mistakes as his attempt at a government takeover of the nation’s health care. Getting the country into deep debt was perhaps less the result of a leftist economic policy than of his being unable to formulate any policies at all.)

Returning to the theme of our post, The once and future Republican Party, March 3, 2011 – that the Republican Party has been the friend of blacks and the Democratic Party their enemy – we quote some passages from an article by John Rossomando at Townhall:

Leading black conservatives lay blame for black America’s rampant poverty and other ills squarely at the feet of the socialist orientation of black leaders such as Al Sharpton.

They say the black intelligentsia’s rhetoric has created a defeatist and demoralizing climate that has robbed millions of black Americans of hope and has sentenced them to an impoverished existence.

“One of the tenets of the socialist ideology is to create a welfare state, and that’s exactly what has happened in the black community,” says Florida Rep. Allen West, the only Republican member of the Congressional Black Caucus. “I like to say we have sort of a reverse plantation going on here where you have people like Sharpton and [Jesse] Jackson trying to make themselves into overseers.”

Niger Innis, national spokesman for the Congress of Racial Equality, says Marxists have worked hard to exploit blacks for the past century and divide them from the rest of society.

Socialism has been deeply ingrained in the black community since the NAACP’s founding in 1909 according to the Socialist Party USA.

And NAACP founder W.E.B. DuBois later developed an admiration for Soviet Dictator Joseph Stalin and even continued to apologize for him even after many other black intellectuals such as Ralph Ellison had repudiated their support for the dictator. DuBois even received the 1959 “Lenin Peace Prize” and formally joined the Communist Party USA two years later in 1961. …

Not even legendary civil rights leader [and Republican] Martin Luther King Jr. escaped being infected by the socialist virus, as evidenced by speeches he gave toward the end of his life. …

“The biggest tragedy in all of this is that the blacks did not know the poison of socialism and communism,” Innis says. “And they were led to believe it was the only alternative for fighting Jim Crow and pushing back against segregation.” …

The black elites’ Marxist dialectic has pit white versus black and rich versus poor …

“It has really hurt the black community because the real uplift in this country is through individual initiative, activity and entrepreneurship,” says Bishop E.W. Jackson Sr., a prominent conservative black minister and Tea Partier. …

Sounds good to me Frank. Frank , I went to a so-called freethought group meeting last night and it’s the same old left-wing radical liberal political BS shoved down our throats non-stop. I walked out and came back in later and then spoke with a woman who rather shares my sentiments. There are at least two male conservatives and both are at odds with the president of the group. The liberals have virtually hijacked the secular organizations in America. Frank , I have had three Christians that have asked me to speak at their church ( one was a southern minister ). It had NOTHING to do with secularism ( I dont think they are aware of my stance ) but they ALL agree with the political and social values that I present ). I get along with the Christians, Jews, and Muslims better than these pathetic left wing ultra-liberal secular people. Frank , I really am frustrated on how the liberals have made such a bad image of secular freethought. I know the religious people don’t view atheists favorably but when I am around them , they eventually accept me openly after we share the same views politically , morally and socially and they see me involved in community activities which they appreciate. I do believe it is going to be conservative atheists that are going to bridge the gap between the religious and secular community. I’m serious. I do believe it is going to be secular conservatives that will bring respect and dignity to secular freethought.
I met a lady a long time ago and we went out together and had a great time together. I treated her like a princess and I was a perfect gentlemen of which she herself stated. She invited me to attend her church and I then explained to her that I was an atheist. Her jaw dropped wide open and her eyes looked as if they were about to pop out of her head and she was in utter shock and awe and she looked as if she was in horror. I am not exagerating regarding her response. She then asked me Frank –how could I be an atheist when I believed in the same values as Jesus Christ and I was such a moral , decent and kind-hearted person ( as if we atheists are suppose to have horns growing out of our heads ). I never saw her again. I met another woman on a blind date many years ago who was the co-worker of one of my former co-worker’s wife. I sent her Roses to her job and had never met her and we faxed letters to each other daily before we had met. She immediately thought I was such a swell guy. On our first date we went to a comedy club and she also invited me to come to her church. I told her also that Iwas an atheist . She said she didn’t want a godless man as a boyfriend . I told her — ” That’s funny , because I don’t want any religious fanatic for a girlfriend, so I guess we’re even “. She didn’t speak to me the entire time , even when I was driving her home. I never heard from her again.
Before I told her that I was an atheist , she thought that I was the greatest guy on earth , and then her religious bigotry came out . Now I’m dating a wonderful lady. She is Christian and I’m atheist. She is white and I’m black. She was a liberal but not anymore —Obama changed all that ( she now hates Obama and now has voter’s remorse ). We respect each other in our different beliefs and it’s not an issue and we are proof that it can work. I hear a lot of atheists requesting a secular dating service.
It’s the liberals and their left wing liberal socialist political positions being paraded as freethought that has turned so many people off regarding atheism ( and not so much as because we don’t believe in a deity per se ). When the general public sees more and more conservative atheists speaking out , then they will slowly but surely attain a different view toward atheists over time. Hang in there Frank !!

As a black secular conservative, this article is right up my ally. Here are a few quotes from Dr. Booker T. Washington ( the famous black civil rights scholar and intellectual ).
Quote– ” There is a class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles , the wrongs and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances because they do not want to lose their jobs. There is a certain class of race-solvers who don’t want the patient to get well……………… If you want to lift yourself up, lift up someone else…… I want to see my race live such high and useful lives that they will not be merely tolerated but they shall actually be needed and wanted because of their usefulnessto the community…………There are two ways of exerting one’s strength : one is pushing down , the other is pulling up…………….. Success is not measured by the position one has reached in life , rather by the obstacles overcome while trying to succeed…….. A race, like an individual, lifts itself up by lifting others up…….. The world cares very little about what a man or woman knows : it is what a man or woman is able to do that counts…………. We should not permit our grievances to overshadow our opportunities………. No greater injury can be done to any youth than to let him feel that because he belongs to this or that race he will be advanced in life regardless of his own merits or efforts…………. A whining crying race may be pitied but seldom respected………… The Negro has the right to study law , but success will come to the race sooner if it produces intelligent , thrifty farmers, mechanics, to support the lawyers ” .

I meant to say ” this article is right up my ALLEY ” . I have been considering making a request sometime soon for an article regarding observations I have seen just like the poster Frank on another thread. I also understand that Jillian Becker and The Atheist Conservative website can’t allow articles for everyone making a request and that is certainly understandable. Now that I am retired and traveling constantly , I frequently visit other atheist and humanist groups and I’m often stopping at truck stops, 24-hour restaurants and coffee shops and making a “quickie” post with my laptop on The Atheist Conservative blog and I’m rushing frequently and I make a lot of typos which can be embarrassing. My previous ISP/software allerted/pre-corrected it automatically —ha ha !! This website is by far the most down to earth , civil and common sense secular bog on the internet. Although , I’m sure the liberals don’t think so. I post a lot and don’t want to “hog up” the comment section. Tonight I went to another freethought group meeting and it was the same far left wing political agenda all over again. I just e-mailed the vice-president of the group to advise him I’m not attending any further because of the blatant and overt liberal bias. There are a couple of conservative atheists in the group but they are afraid to speak out because they know they will be “attacked” and ostracized if they do. Perhaps we conservative atheists need to form conservative freethought groups nationwide to erase the stereotypes in America that atheists are somehow associated with liberalism , socialism/communism, and “political correctness”. We can also engage in community help activities to show people by our deeds that we do indeed care about the community. Just to let you know I’m still pondering on the idea of a national conservative atheist seminar/convention and I’ve genenerated quite a bit of favorable interest. It would be a first. How about — ” First Annual National Conservative Atheist Convention ” or ” National Conservative Freethinkers Seminar ” ? Any suggestions ? I’m dead serious. How about around Kansas area which would be the central area of the US ? Perhaps I should have posted this on ” about us ” for feedback. There are quite a number of conservative atheists out here and the general public is not aware of this because they are silently “in the closet” so to speak because of the ridicule from the liberal atheists ( as if it’s not bad enough what we have to put up with by the fundamentalist Christians ). The public is hungry for our secular conservative voices and this blog is certainly a major step in the right direction. Keep up the good work and hang in there folks. Yours in freethought !

        Hi George,
I think the idea of a convention is a great idea. I would like to suggest that it be held in Las Vegas. That way I can kill two birds with one trip:
        1) Attend the convention/seminar.
        2) Make my semi-annual contribution to their local economy. 😉
