In memory of Christopher Hitchens, who died two days ago, here is a video from October 2007 in which he talks about the “profane marriage between media-hype and medieval  superstition and the icon it gave birth to” – Mother Teresa.

    I’m sad to see him go.  He was not only highly intelligent, but also had the guts to go against the flow when he changed his views on things.  If he’d only had more time, he may have eventually become a conservative!

      My impression is that he edged over very far towards conservatism, on some issues into it.

        Yes, your right.  He was leading the way in that direction, which makes his passing even more of a loss. Hopefully he left enough of a mark with his writings that many will continue to follow his lead even tho he’s gone.
