Clint Eastwood: Preparing To Say Good-Bye

My Twilight Years at 84

If you realize each day is a gift, you may be near my age. As I enjoy my twilight years, I am often struck by the inevitability that the party must end.

There will be a clear, cold morning when there isn’t any “more”. No more hugs, no more special moments to celebrate together, no more phone calls just to chat.

It seems to me that one of the important things to do before that morning comes, is to let every one of your family and friends know that you care for them by finding simple ways to let them know your heartfelt beliefs and the guiding principles of your life so they can always say, “He was my friend, and I know where he stood.”

So, just in case I’m gone tomorrow, please know this: I voted against that incompetent, lying, flip-flopping, insincere, double-talking, radical socialist, terrorist excusing, bleeding heart, narcissistic, scientific and economic moron currently in the White House!

Participating in a gun buy-back program because you think that criminals have too many guns is like having yourself castrated because you think your neighbors have too many kids.

Regards, Clint

    • So what?

Clint Eastwood never said it. It is not true. What don’t you understand about my comment? False information is false information, whether you like it or not.

        • Doesn’t matter who said it. It makes sense. You have now declared that it wasn’t Clint. Corrected the record. Okay. It is not important.

You may be giving false information for all I know. The thing itself still makes sense.

Why does it exercise you so?

Please do not bother to answer that question. It was an issue in July 2016. Not now.

  • I hope that Clint continues to stay alive a lot longer than he expects to. A voice of sanity in a desert of mediocrity.

Obama and the Clintons are products of a flawed system. The system is flawed because it is based on a flawed idea, the idea that all people are created equal. Some people contribute nothing at all, only take from the hard work of others. To give such people the vote is like parents giving their children an equal say in how the family finances are run. The voting age is already too low, and the left want to lower it still further, to 16, because they know that will lead to more irresponsible voting, more votes for the left.

Every now and then, the mistakes of the left become too glaring to ignore, and we have a short period of relative sanity. Eventually though the pendulum will swing back to the left again, just as it has in the UK, after the brief interlude of Margaret Thatcher’s time in office. Our ever growing national debts may eventually tip us over the edge into bankruptcy and real chaos.

    • I nod at all you say here. Only I would add that the Obama/ Clinton idea of equality does not include themselves. They are the Nomenklatura. The ones Thomas Sowell so aptly calls the “self-annointed”.

      • Ah yes, the socialist leaders are like demi-gods in their own minds.

Ha! That’s a great one! Very accurate description of Obama, and a brilliant analogy on the gun policy. In fact, Obama’s agenda has been to “castrate” the entire country.
