Laugh them to scorn 215
From Front Page:
Al-Jazeera America, which launched less than a year ago, is slashing expenses and laying off staff as it struggles to gain a foothold in the US.
Hard to imagine why it should be so unpopular.
Down with the Fed! 92
From Mauldin Economics: Things That Make You Go Hmmm…
If you jump to the 27:00 minute mark of this edition of The Charlie Rose Show, you will find an excellent interview with David Stockman about his wonderful recent book, The Great Deformation. Stockman finally gets the platform he deserves with Charlie Rose, and I urge you to watch him explain why the Fed is a perennial “bubble machine”. Stockman’s takedown of Paul Krugman alone is worth the price of admission — though even the normally neutral Rose can’t resist taking a shot at a former establishment insider turned outsider.
Less government, more jobs 115
Kevin O’Leary, successful businessman, explains that what is needed to bring people out of unemployment poverty is less government.

Pious hypocrisy 66
There are at least 72 million (last count in 2004) members of the Democratic Party. Maybe they’re not all hypocrites.
Here’s one who certainly is. We grant that he’s a particularly egregious example:
Honor Diaries 96
A few Muslim women are trying to free all Muslim women from enslavement by Islam.
They are unlikely to get any help or even sympathy from Western feminists because those “womyn” are wholly preoccupied with their own petty grievances.
Here is the trailer of the film made by the Muslim women to help their campaign. It is called Honor Diaries:
Muslim “men” are already trying to put a stop to the women’s brave efforts. Of course.
CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations), a Muslim Brotherhood organization in the US, demanded that the University of Michigan, Dearborn, cancel the screening of Honor Diaries, on the grounds that the film is “Islamophobic”.
And the University bowed to these terrorist-supporters and complied.
The admirable Megan Kelly says here on Fox News that there have been more cancellations under pressure from CAIR. So many cowards running American institutions!
A man, a senator – and president to boot? 105
We think Senator Ted Cruz would be the best GOP candidate for the 2016 presidential election. We like what he says, what he stands for. He is strong, brilliant, confident – and right. And he has the presence, the personality, the manner a president should have. In fact we like everything about him – except of course his religiousness, but that doesn’t seem to be having any adverse effect on his political thinking. Here he is making his principles plain in an interview with Genevieve Wood of The Foundry (part of the Heritage network). The principles he states are ours too.
We know that not all our regular readers agree with our opinion of Senator Cruz.
We hope those who do not agree will tell us why.
What do you know? 25
The students in this video from CNS News are all apparently over 18 so they have the vote. One of them says she is taking a course in politics. None of them knows who the first president of the United States was. Two of them cannot divide 100 by 50 – or do not know (like the president) that there are 50 states in the Union. They’re all being put through the expensive travesty called a university education.

The virtue of hate 101
Dr. Bill Warner explains why he hates Islam. He gives only two of many possible reasons, but he makes a strong case for both of them.
