How the trick was done 10

Was this how the election was swung from Trump to Biden?

In contempt of Congress 4

America no longer has a government of the people for the people.

The chambers of Congress are occupied by rulers for the rulers.

They do not parley. They speechify. They grandstand. It is not a real parliament.

So says Mark Steyn with scorn. He writes that he finds himself “at odds with virtually the entire politico-media class” in his reaction to “the ‘storming’ of the US Capitol” on January 6, 2021.

He thinks the members of Congress got a taste of what they deserve: a scary expression of the anger citizens feel towards them. And we agree with him.

The political class (represented by a Speaker who flies home to San Francisco on her own government plane) has been largely insulated from the pathologies they have loosed upon the land. For a few hours [on January 6] they weren’t.

In a self-governing republic of citizen-legislators, that ought to be sobering and instructive. But, of course, it wasn’t. Still, I was surprised that even politicians and pundits could utter all that eyewash about “the citadel of democracy” and “a light to the world” with a straight face. It’s a citadel of crap, and the lights went out long ago …

I despise the United States Congress, and not merely for the weeks I had to spend there during the Clinton impeachment trial. My contempt pre-dates that circus. It dates to the moment I first realized, as a recent arrival to this land, that when [a member] is giving some overwrought speech on a burning issue he is speaking to an entirely empty chamberbecause there are no debates, because most of these over-entouraged Emirs of Incumbistan are entirely incapable of debate

The American media go along with the racket, and there’s only the one pool camera with the fixed tight shot so that you can’t see the joint is deserted and the guy is talking to himself. …

I have never seen such rubbish in the House of Commons at Ottawa or Westminster or their equivalents around the Commonwealth – and it’s a charade in which the media are all-in.

So it’s a Potemkin parliament.

That leads easily to the next stage of decay – for why would a Potemkin parliament not degenerate further into a pseudo-legislature? The Covid “relief” bill is 5,593 pages. There is no such thing as a 5,593-page “law” – because no legislator could read it and grasp it. For purposes of comparison, the Government of India Act, which in 1935 was the longest piece of legislation ever drafted in British law and which provided for the government of what are now India, Pakistan and Burma, is 326 pages.

Oh, I’m sure paragons of republican virtue will object that no Indian or Burmese citizen-representatives were involved in that piece of imperial imposition. Well, no American citizen-representatives were involved in the Covid “relief” bill. The legislation was drafted not by legislators, nor by civil servants, nor even by staffers or interns. Instead, a zillion lobbyists wrote their particular carve-outs, and then it got stitched together by some clerk playing the role of Baron von Frankenstein. The “legislators” voted it into law unread, and indeed even unseen, as the Congressional photocopier proved unable to print it: It was a bill without corporeal form, but the yes-men yessed it into law anyway.

Whatever that is, it’s not a republic. …

This institution, this branch of the government of the vast and mighty United States of America, is no “beacon to the world”.

I wish no ill to anyone in the building, but I do support, during the next recess, its complete dismantling and the salting of the earth: it is not a “citadel of democracy”, only a sick perversion thereof. Whatever Sudan and Chad and Waziristan need, it’s not the US Congress.

Whatever the American people need, it’s not this pseudo-legislature; it’s not a corrupt and senile president such as they’re about to get; it’s not a Supreme Court that refuses to judge a case of flagrant fraud and outright defiance of the Constitution in a presidential election.

Has the great experiment in founding a nation on a Constitution designed to give all power to the people failed beyond repair?

The storming of the Capitol 301

Who stormed the Capitol on Wednesday, January 6, 2021? Was it mostly a Trump supporting mob, or Antifa?

Antifa were there, bused into D.C. in four buses with a police escort according to this witness [is he credible?]:

And reputed Antifa/BLM protestors were noticed inside the building. But it is almost certain that the invaders were overwhelmingly Trump supporters.

Whoever initiated the incursion, whoever joined it for political reasons, made a tactical mistake if also a moral one*.

To occupy a parliament building in order to bring down a government successfully, you need to be an army. Like Oliver Cromwell’s. Otherwise it is a mere gesture.

Even a mere gesture can cause serious harm. This one did. It was lethal.

Matt Margolis writes at PJ Media:

It’s hard not to see the hypocrisy of the left when they act surprised or condemn what happened at the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday. In June 2020, in the aftermath of the nationwide rioting following the death of George Floyd at the hands of a Minneapolis police officer, Kamala Harris even gleefully predicted that the rioting wouldn’t end, telling Stephen Colbert, host of “The Late Show,” that they shouldn’t end:

They’re not going to stop. They’re not going to stop. This is a movement, I’m telling you. They’re not gonna stop. And everyone beware because they’re not gonna stop. They’re not gonna stop before Election Day and they’re not going to stop after Election Day. And everyone should take note of that. They’re not gonna let up and they should not.

The protests Kamala Harris spoke of were responsible for an estimated $1 – $2 billion in property damage between May 26 and June 8, 2020, and dozens of deaths

What would happen if Trump said of the protestors who stormed the U.S. Capitol Wednesday, “They’re not going to stop. They’re not going to stop. This is a movement, I’m telling you. They’re not gonna stop. And everyone beware because they’re not gonna stop. They’re not gonna let up and they should not.”

But Trump never said anything like that. In fact, Trump urged his supporters to go home.

He said:

I know your pain, I know your hurt. We had an election that was stolen from us. It was a landslide election, and everyone knows it, especially the other side. But you have to go home now. We have to have peace. We have to have law and order. …  We don’t want anybody hurt.

Stephen Green writes also at PJ Media:

It’s difficult to be glib about the news after a day like yesterday, so today’s Insanity Wrap will be less of a wrap-up and more of a lament.

Four people are dead.

So many of us told you something like this was inevitable after Antifa/BLM was allowed for months to get away with their anarcho-communist brand of street thuggery.

Still, the timing and location came as a shock.

It remains to be seen whether yesterday’s deadly riot represents a one-off venting of political frustration or a sea-change in that the Right will from now on operate more like the Left does.

And Stephen Green writes again at PJ Media:

The first thing I noticed while scanning the news was that virtually every conservative commenting on the situation was condemning the violence. Immediately. That stood in stark contrast to high-ranking Democrats and their flying monkeys in the mainstream media spending all last summer telling us that things were peaceful while we were staring at burning buildings. …

Conservatives like me have been radicalized by the Democrats and media pathologically lying about us for so long. Now we know that mainstream Republicans are going to try and marginalize us.

Here’s the thing though: there are a lot more of us than either side realizes.

So keep not getting why Trump got elected in the first place, people. Keep blaming factors that had nothing to do with his popularity. Keep selling out, Republicans. It just makes our long game easier.

We’re not going away.

We agree most closely with Mark Steyn:

*We’re not sure that it was a moral mistake on the part of the invaders. As Trump supporters, they had of a  lot of immorality and illegality to protest about, and where should they show their anger but to the government that caused or at least permitted the offenses? The woman who was shot was killed by a police officer over-reacting to the mass incursion. The police officer’s action was certainly immoral, but were the invaders to blame for his or her decision to shoot? And – according to the reports we can find – the other three who died lost their lives through natural causes, having attended the rally voluntarily.

What is disgraceful is that Congress is so poorly guarded.

Republican treachery 199

Many Republicans in elected office are, it appears, as eager to keep President Trump from being elected for a second term, and as ready to use foul means, as the Democrats are.

Gavin Wax writes at American Greatness:

Republican Party officials in battleground states have emerged as the enforcer class for the vote steal.

Georgia has become the standard bearer in this regard, with Governor Brian Kemp and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger dropping the ball in ways that seem to go beyond mere incompetence. Raffensperger is now reveling in an audio leak [to the Washington Post] of a private conversation between Trump and himself … . He is now an open collaborator with the enemy, working to thwart Republican victory by publicly attacking GOP Senate candidates.

Kemp and Raffensperger are not outliers. There have been Republican public officials in other battleground states who seem to be celebrating the most heinous political crime in U.S. history..

“Have been”? “Seem”? They are doing just that.

“The most heinous political crime in U.S. history”? The “vote steal”.

Elections have been won fruadulently before. But never before by America-haters intent on destroying the Republic as constituted by the founders of the union.

In Arizona, Governor Doug Ducey made it a point to certify the state’s vote count as hearings were being conducted [while] whistleblowers were offering crucial first-hand testimony of abnormalities that put the vote into question. [He] even ignored a phone call from President Trump, demonstrating his contempt. …

It’s the same story in Michigan.

… where “tens of thousands of ballots” appeared “in the dead of night”, and Dominion counting-machines switched votes from Trump to Biden.

Republican State House Speaker Lee Chatfield has repeatedly stated that the legislature will do nothing to overturn the fraud, even working to deny legislators [entrance to] the Capitol to deliver a slate of pro-Trump electors.

And Michigan Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey declared that nothing was wrong with the Dominion machines after a forensic report indicated major systemic faults with the software.

And it was a top GOP attorney who cast the deciding vote to certify the electoral results in the state.

To whom can loyal and law-abiding Americans turn for help in this storm of disorder, deceit, and injustice?

We are living through the total institutional collapse of the West at this very moment. People are scared, they’re desperately looking for answers, and they know for certain that they cannot get them from the mainstream institutions that have failed them so miserably. …

Many – perhaps most – Republicans in Congress, it appears, also wanted to see the fall of this president, who is to us and tens of millions of others one of the greatest ever.

So we understand why the writer concludes –

A brutal Republican intramural civil war looks to be inevitable at this point.

What is needed is a strong populist Republican Party that is true to the vision of Donald Trump. Which means one that puts America first, wants it to be great, prosperous, and above all free. And if the only way such a party can come into being is through a “brutal intramural civil war”, the sooner it begins the better.

Or has it already begun?

Next, the wrecking of our language 147

It was intended that when Newspeak had been adopted once and for all and Oldspeak forgotten, a heretical thought … should be literally unthinkable, at least so far as thought is dependent  on words.  –  George Orwell, 1984

*

Ideologues and activists of the Left have wrecked everything in our Western civilization as they roll on to the moment – very close now – when they can destroy civilization itself.

The record of their destruction must be headed by the annihilation of hundreds of millions of human beings.

In addition, they have succeeded in changing for the worse everything that makes people’s lives worth living and their freedom protected, including: the plastic arts, architecture, music, the family, free speech, the press, publishing, broadcasting, theatre, films, higher middle and lower education, judiciaries, civil services, intelligence services, armed services, law enforcement, representative government …

And now, in America, the English language.

And it’s not just about forcing the use of silly made-up [by whom?] pronouns – though that is there and de rigueur.  (See chart below. Take special note of “they likes themselves” and understand that grammar is a tool of white oppression and must be abandoned.) It’s a banning of words; words that sin against a current obsession of Leftist ideologues; words that convey the sex of a person referred to.

Using George Orwell’s novel 1984 as an instruction manual, they are now decreeing the vocabulary that will be accessible to future generations, selected and controlled so that no one can  articulate, or even think, thoughts that are not approved by Big Comrade and nir/vis/eir/hir/zir/xyr scaly batwinged cohorts.

Alana Mastrangelo writes at Breitbart:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Rules Committee Chairman James McGovern (D-MA) unveiled the rules for the 117th Congress … which contain “future-focused” proposals, including the elimination of gendered terms, such as “father, mother, son, and daughter”.

“This package, which will be introduced and voted on once the new Congress convenes, includes sweeping ethics reforms, increases accountability for the American people, and makes this House of Representatives the most inclusive in history,” said the House Committee on Rules in a statement.

The Democrats will not confine themselves to legislating law; they will legislate morality. That is what they have chosen as their chief function.

By “morality” understand “immorality”. (On George Orwell’s model of “Ministry of Truth” being the bureau of official lies.)

By “inclusive” understand “exclusive“.

House Speaker Pelosi went on to say she is “pleased to join Chairman Jim McGovern in introducing this visionary rules package, which reflects the views and values of the full range of our historically diverse House Democratic Majority.”

By “historically” understand “now”.

“Thanks to the leadership of Chairman McGovern and our Members, Democrats have crafted a package of unprecedented, bold reforms, which will make the House more accountable, transparent, and effective in our work to meet the needs of the American people,” said Pelosi.

By “bold” understand “compulsory”.

By “accountable” understand “arbitrary”. By “transparent” understand “secretive”. By “effective” understand “oppressive”.

“These future-focused proposals reflect our priorities as a Caucus and as a Country,” the House Speaker added.

Within the proposals are the creation of the “Select Committee on Economic Disparity and Fairness in Growth,” which would require Congress to “honor all gender identities by changing pronouns and familial relationships in the House rules to be gender neutral.”

In clause 8(c)(3) of rule XXIII, gendered terms, such as “father, mother, son, daughter, brother, sister, uncle, aunt, nephew, niece, husband, wife, father-in-law, mother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, stepfather, stepmother, stepson, stepdaughter, stepbrother, stepsister, half brother, half sister, grandson, or granddaughter” will be removed.

In their place, terms such as “parent, child, sibling, parent’s sibling, first cousin, sibling’s child, spouse, parent-in-law, child-in-law, sibling-in-law, stepparent, stepchild, stepsibling, half-sibling, or grandchild” will be used instead.

Learn this chart. (Don’t quibble about the errors – wrong words in the headings, bad grammar in the examples.) There will be a test.

This coup d’état 26

For the first time since the American Republic was founded, the presidency is being seized unconstitutionally by a revolutionary conspiracy.

A Leftist coup d’état is being carried out, and it looks as if it will succeed.

The historian Daniel Mallock writes at New English Review:

A coup is underway in the United States.

President Donald Trump won the 2020 election in a landslide just as he says he did.

But his victory was overridden, turned into defeat by the working of numerous dirty tricks devised and organized by the Democratic Party and its collaborators.

It is clear that fraudulent votes were counted in their tens of thousands, some counted multiple times, “pristine” ballots accepted as legitimate (they’re not), and tens of thousands and more votes flipped via voting tabulation software systems. Elements of the fraud were so blatant as to be almost comical—who knew before this election that so many people born on 01/01/1900 vote Democrat? More importantly, who knew that so many people in the United States are 120 years old?

It was obvious to any reasonable person that the process of tabulating and reporting of votes on election night was seriously flawed, and much worse. It also quickly became apparent that vote-dumping was occurring on a massive scale with early morning truck arrivals at counting stations full of ballots [marked as votes for the Democratic candidate], and poll watchers obstructed and prevented from watching in numerous (that is, only in Democrat-controlled) jurisdictions.

The only conclusion is that a coup is now underway via a falsified election, significantly aided by the collusion of a profoundly corrupt and revolutionized/activist fraudulent media.

This is an unprecedented situation in American national life.

The country has never been so divided since 1860. Today the issues of division are the Constitution and the Republic itself. That is, will the Constitution and the Republic continue? …

The Democrat party—the party of slavery, civil war, Jim Crow, the Klan, and communism is the very same party behind the current exceptional and existential crisis in the country.

Is there some irony in the fact that no Democrat leaders and no Democrats are interested whatever in investigating and demonstrating that allegations of coup/stolen election are false, and that the Democrat “president-elect” is, in fact, the legitimate winner of an election not rife with fraud, lies, ballot box stuffing, vote flipping, harassment and intimidation of vote observers, and the counting of tens of thousands of ineligible and illegal votes? As the cliché goes: the silence is deafening.

The corrupted and failed press is but one institution of many, public and private, that have failed during this fraudulent election/coup crisis in America.

We were warned about the high cost should our body politic be corrupted by those who hate freedom.

One hundred years of corruption, infiltration, and cooptation by communists and globalist utopians in government, education, entertainment, and the popular culture have brought us to this point. The last four years being a daily onslaught of propaganda meant to delegitimize and undermine the president and his administration to a degree unsurpassed in American history. Democrat politicians and fellow traveler useful idiots particularly in the tech sector, entertainment, education, and failed journalism supported the false impeachment efforts and the never-ending barrage of hate and disparagement toward the president, his agenda, and his supporters. This endless stream of vitriol began the moment candidate Trump presented himself to the country on the escalator of Trump Tower in New York City just as the campaign of 2016 began.

That day, Donald Trump performed the role of a deus descending and emerging literally ex machina.

Many in the country are entirely unaware of the details of the 2020 campaign, particularly the troubling backgrounds of the so-called  “president-elect”, his family, his associates, and their supporters because of a press blackout on covering these issues so as to support the stolen election/coup effort. A blinkered, ignorant polity is far more malleable than a well-informed one.

On December 22nd [2020] President Trump presented the truth of the coup and the stolen election (as he had done numerous times previously) directly to the American people. He told the country and the world that the election was stolen and that he had won it, which he had. He told the people how the coup of the stolen election was perpetrated; he said that it is a national disgrace (an overly generous description under the circumstances), and that it would not stand. For the coup plotters and their friends, Trump’s promise was an ominous warning, and a cause for celebration among American patriots and decent people across the world.

Every political institution upon which the president and his supporters can call for redress has so far failed. The Supreme Court, the House, the Senate, Department of Justice, FBI, state legislatures, state judiciaries have all failed to expose the coup and enforce the laws despite hundreds of affidavits, video evidence, statistical and forensic technical analyses of voting machine tabulation behavior that clearly show fraud, not to mention standard common sense all of which support the contention that a coup is underway—an event unparalleled in the history of the American republic.

Another element of the coup plot was extensive unconstitutional changes to the presidential election process in multiple states, particularly the key “swing” states, whereby legislatures were illegally bypassed as election rules were radically transformed. The changes made were specifically meant to benefit Democrats and are not in accord with the letter and spirit of the Constitution. Because these changes are in contravention to the Constitution, they are within the purview of the Supreme Court to adjudicate. That the high court would abandon its duty in this regard is a catastrophic failure of that institution and for the country. …

If every institution of law and government fails to do its duty to uphold the Republic and the Constitution, the president still has his duty: “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.” (Constitution, Article II, Section 1)

As of this writing every public and private institution meant to protect and support the government and the Constitution has failed its duties with but two remaining, the president and the military.

If no institution will speak the truth and take action to save the country from a coup now underway via a fraudulent election what can or might the president do to fulfill his oath?

The writer does not answer his question. He makes no suggestions as to what the president might do to save the country from the coup d’état which is now underway – unless his mention of the military is a hint that he is thinking of the president using force.

We still wait to see if the president himself knows what to do, whether he will do it, and if he knows and if he does, whether it will succeed.
